FELLOW TRIPLE RIDERS
Can anyone out there tell me the width's and depth's of British and USA number plates as we are making a undertail bracket for plates, indicators and number plate light.Have a prototype for Australian plates but need to know dimensions in mm's and position of holes in plates.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will try and post photo's soon.

hey Bucket,

Don't forget that not all Australian plates are the same size.

Most are the same but South Australian plates are wider.

Cheers

Yep, 4"x7". Holes are located at all four corner, 1/2" from the right and left sides, and 5/8" from the top and bottom (to center of holes). The plate is symetrical...

Hey Bucket, any chance I can get one off you ? Are you going to use standard indicators or aftermarket ? I was going to make something soon, no point in reinventing the wheel though !

Bracket should be finished and mounted by weekend.Designed it on computer after many mockups in shed.Has been laser cut in 1.6 stainless and am getting angles professionally bent tomorrow. It can take standard or aftermarket indicators and uses standard number plate light. Can only see one tiny part of bracket, rest is hidden by indicators and number plate and light.Uses all 4 mounting holes for strength. Can be made in various materials as making it out of stainless was costly.Sure i could get cost down if i had a qauntity to cut at a time.As soon as it is fitted will try and get photos posted.
