I was just wondering what type of gas mileage everyone is getting. I have kept track of my mileage and I show about 34.6 MPG. However my computer says I am getting over 40 MPG. Also the weird thing is that my low gas light always comes on when I still have at least 2 gallons left.

I know my calculations are right so is there possibly something wrong with my computer?

I get about 38 MPG and much less if I am aggressive. Yours sounds about right. This was a head thread when the 05 came out. The computer just isn't accurate.

I've been fighting with this myself. I get about 32-35 MPG. It was just in the shop for black smoke in the exhaust and poor fuel economy. New off road tune was installed and the smoke went away (and the severe popping on decel) However, the milage didn't change.

They dyno showed an air/fuel ratio of 12.5/1 to 13/1 throughout the RPM range. I'd like to see it about 14/1, but short of Tuneboy releasing their product soon that's just not attainable.

My guess is this engine is just a fuel hog. Why, I don't know.

Getting about 45 mpg. My '00 Sprint RS would average around 50. In addition to it's other charming characteristics, the 955i is also a pretty efficient motor.

Wow, my S3 generally gets mid 40s mpg even when I'm seriously flogging it. With 3 teeth up in the back on the freeway I got as high as 50-52mpg staying around 80mph for most of the trip.

I get 35mph with a pretty aggressive riding style. Also my low fuel light comes on early as well. But I have to say, if you want fuel economy, perhaps a liter bike is not your optimum motorcycle.

I wasn't worried about economy just wondering what other people were getting. The only thing that bothers me is the darn fuel light, if it always comes on early what is the point of even having one. I don't ride too hard but in all fairness I do go between 80-90 on the freeway....

You know I used to get around 45-50 but lately my mpg has dropped significantly to 35-38.

Now I have to fill up at 140-150 miles. Before I was getting 170-180 miles before reserve.

Low of 40 and high of 46.

Fuel light comes on around 150 miles leaving 70 before empty.
