Hi everyone...

Just thought I would share with you all the fact I have just bought a new S3 1050 '06

JET BLACK.. got the triumph off road pipes, fly-screen, belly pan and annoying but necessary alarm !!

Have not got her yet but am waiting until the 1st of March so get the new '56 plate in the uk... annoying to have to wait but I know it will be worth it riding her on the new plate...

Well that's it guys.. I have pictures but they are in the dealership... really decent people...

Can't wait to ride for the first time.. this forum is the only thing that is going to keep me going for the next 35 DAYS !!! my goodness... this is going to be a long wait !!!

Cheers !! :-D

Well Done gstar,
Rode mine for the first time on saturday and loved it although i kept it below the 3500 revs for the first 100 miles, only managed 62 it was too bloody cold!!!! Very tempting to crank open but i promised myself i would run this bike in properly.
What dealer did you use?

Cheers Paul.

Cheers guys....

Some people talk about running them in quick... what's the general feeling on running in? play it by the triumph recommendations?

I just can't believe I have to wait for 6 weeks !

Bough mine yesterday, gstar! Fusion white! Rode to work and back just to get some seat time before the snow. I am looking for some cool accessories besides the standard belly pan and fly screens which I already ordered.

Rizoma parts are so expensive. Any ideas on vendors?

Welcome.

I have a stupid question, but could anyone explain this whole "plate" thing to me. Also, what is a tax disc and why does it need to be displayed?

Being from Canada all I have to do is make sure that my dogs are registered with the local municipality and each one of them are wearing their current dog tags...then no one bother's me on my dogsled!

On a serious note, as with any vehicle all I do is bring my proof of insurance to the registry agent and pay for a licence plate ($65 for a year, prorated by the month). With that plate comes 2 stickers-- one for a month corresponding to the first letter of your last name and one for the following year. Both get displayed on the plate. I have to renew every year during that month for the same $65, and with renewal you get a new 'year' sticker. If the vehicle is 10+ years old when you initially insure it the insurance agent will require a mechanical inspection.
