Integrated tail light and indicators UK legality

Hi guys,
I have been pondering getting something like this -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-TRIUM...item27be5a1a32

I have had conflicting comments about their legality in the UK - so I thought I would throw it open to you guys , what do you think?

Re: Integrated tail light and indicators UK legality

As long as it flashes orange and does not obscure breaklight function it should be fine. Seen loads of Harley with same setup. My mate has it on his Harley and it passes mot no problems.

I have something just like that. The guys behind me say they can barely see my turn signals so I am going to install some small led lights for turn signals.

Ive just got mine from china 20 beans.
All ive been told by people is its ths width thats the problem as they are to close in the unit.
Ive nice mot man so no problems there i have new arrow triumph indicators and relay so the all work fine no extra **** needed.
You can keep your normal indicators as that is the intension to get round the problem.
For my self get em ride it deal with it when the problem comes up.
Getting tugged for a 100mph wheelie. They aint worried about indicators in the back lite

I got mine off eBid: http://uk.ebid.net/for-sale/2011-tri...t-52232643.htm

Really impressed, have avoided these things for ages but these LED ones are a bright as you like.

No, it's a doddle. They include the resistors for the indicator wiring so that they flash at a normal rate.

The only thing I found was that the connection they had on their light to connect to the 'bikes brake/tail light function wasn't the same as what I had on the 'bike, so had to snip both and re-terminate. Just used bullet connectors.
