Man, and I was seriously considering trading up to an 05+ too. If none of you guys come back with numbers showing a big bump up in torque, I'm not going to be trading in anytime soon.
I've never ridden a pre05 S3, but you'd think with the exta 10% cc's that the 1050 would definately be stronger. I have noticed though, that even mag tests, the 955 triples ran the 1/4 faster than the 1050's. Doesn't really make any sense, but I still love my 05! Anyone know why this is?

bike with TOR's and Triumph performance map, with about 2000 miles on odometer= 118.0 HP and 66.5 ft/lbs of torque
What is the map# for the "Triumph performance map" you are using?

Motorcyclist had some BS rear wheel torque #'s listed for a 03 S3. I think they got 70 something ft lbs and 113 hp. I have all my old mags at work ill check tommorow. Id like to see the factories start listing some rear wheel #s for new bikes. I had my 02 S3 dyno tuned. It has powermax underseat exhaust.kn filter, PC 3. With triumph hi mount tune it had 65.0 Ft lbs 106.2 hp and was running super rich. After he was done tuning he got 69.8 Ft lbs and 113.6 hp. Gonna bring it back just waiting for wolf to come out with the stainless headers for my bike i guess sometime this year.

So do i take it that my 04 is roughly putting out the same at rear wheel as 05-06? Anyone else had a dyno on 02-04 with TORS and updated mapping?

Keep those dyno runs coming!

My guess is that the fairing bikes will due better at the 1/4 mile and get better gas milage due to their fairings. I think my '05 S3 looks sweet but it is probably as aerodynamic as a house.

For you Phoenix guys i use ECS Dyno in Mesa. They are located at 431 S. Stapley Dr. (Stapley just south of Broadway Rd.). their # is 480-593-4269. They are a good deal. $20 for a simple power run and $40 for a dyno run and a diagnostic (to show were your bike is lean or rich at the various rpm levels). This is nice to show where the bike can be improved.

Everyone with an '05 or '06 S3 please go to the K&N website and request an air filter for the new bike. Hopefully it will put a fire under there butts to get one made. No guarantee that it will improve performance but I will definitly try it.

Sorry, i forgot about the map # question.

I do not know the official # or name. I just called it their "performance map" but it is what ever map they use when you put the TOR's on.

Is the 05+ filter any different than the 02-04?

Yeah Nissn, it looks like the 05+ just has a few more horsepower unless a Tuneboy and K&N filter would make a huge difference.

Sure, it's because that big J-Lo rear end on the 02-04 bikes is not only sexy but very aerodynamic. But I could be wrong. :-D

I know...don't quit my day job...
