I've just bought a Garmin 2610 to mount on my '04 Triple.

Anyone got one of these or similar? How have you mounted it?

Cheers

I use a RAM mount for my 2720 and it works great. I bought the motorcycle power cord too and tapped it into my license plate light.

I to use a RAM mount. I bought this from .www.adventure-motorcycling.co.uk

I bought it to use on my Fazer and it came with a earpiece and power connectors. The the Ram Mount is atttached to the bike by a "stud mount" which is a replacement for one of the bar riser bolts that has a rubber ball to attach the Ram Mount to.

When we got the Triple I just bought an extra stud and power cable. They dont advertise one for the triple but I just measured the original stud and they sent me a matching one. I think the ST one fits.

It works reaally well the unit ends up right in the centre of the bars, when you dont want the GPS unit the only thing left on the bike is the stud and hidden paower cable. I can still use the GPS on the Fazer.

I'll try and get some pics taken today with it on there. I wish they'd make some kind of HUD for helmets that plugged into GPS that I could flick on and off when I needed to check the map since the GPS is below the guages and I have to look down, which takes my eyes off the road. Otherwise, the RAM mount is very stable, and being black, somewhat unobtrusive on the eyes. Plus, it is really easy to take off if you're not planning to use the GPS for shorter trips.
