Wobbly, I haven't either, but I did do some research.

TuneBoy actuallyruns within your bikes EFI system, and has a myriad of configurations, or you can build your own if you run on a dyno. Expensive, and I'm not sure it's worth it for the small gains in HP. My old mechanic says, if you want your bike to go faster, by a faster bike.

PCIII attaches after the bikes onboard system, which means you are re-altering the actual parameters the original computer map puts out. Personally not my cuppa.

IMHO, if you had to get one, get the Aussie made TuneBoy. If it was me I'd forget either, I know others will have another opinion either way.

Mick

Tuneboy is an excellent piece of hardware. All you need is a laptop and a dyno to do everything it is capable of. Or, if you've got one of those Veypor on-bike dyno thingies, you could probably do all your dyno stuff on-road, lol. You can tune a wider variety of variables with the Tuneboy as well. Just look at the website comparison between tuneboy and pcIII.

I agree with Kuhlka. My Tuneboy program and hardware that came with the package, was just perfect for my '03 s3.
I had some serious issues with backfiring especially after getting the Triumph racecan. Tuneboy sorted out that problem.
Money well spent indeed.
Check Tuneboy Tunes for more info

Thanks for the help guy's.

Reckon I might be getting myself one pretty soon, I'm a little nervous about stuffing things up though, just ain't too good with these computer thingy's.

This may be a naff question but is the bikes ignition timing adjustable via tuneboy?

cheers
