Gloves for the winter

I've not had much luck in the past with glove purchases.

I've tried silk inserts on my everyday gloves: great feel but after an hour I can't feel my left hand.

I've tried the big bulky gloves: warmth for hours but zero feel.

Then, a friend turned me on to First Ascent Guide Gloves. Bought them online at Whittaker Mountaineering.
Great feel and warmth. Had them out today in Nashville in 40 degree weather and they rocked.

Thought i would share.

Peace

Are those waterproof? Where do you get them? Outdoor stores?

I'd be concerned about road rash protection. The back of the glove looks like you'd rub through it pretty quickly.

Yeah, they are water proof. Comes with a waterproofing wax treatment.

Personally love my alpine star drystar arctic's.
Hour ride in 35-40 degrees and hands are still functional. Not warm per se but not cold either.
Great in the wet too.

I think those are actually alpine mountaineering gloves, not motorcycle gloves. If you value your hands, and if you don't mind doing a 10 minute wiring job, get heated gloves. If you're cheap get Tourmaster Synergy. If not, get Gerbings.

Racer Multitop. I've had mine for years. Excellent feel for a cold weather glove and also waterproof.

I've got Gerbing T5 gloves, with a Warm N Safe heated liner. I resisted getting heated gear for a long time. Worth the investment!

I have a pair of Rev'It Orion gloves. They're pretty good, but I have poor circulation and my hands get cold easily regardless. I think heated grips are the best option.
