Good morning all - New Speedy owner here with a question I wasnt expecting to have to ask. My buddy and I (fellow s3 owner) were riding shortly after I got mine and he was telling me how to reset my trip function. Nothing I tried worked. The trip button feels squishy, not clicking under it. The 1st button is crisp, second is simi there, and the third, not at all. We pulled off my gauges, pulled apart the case and found some corrosion on the switches.
Looks almost like a little water got in there and sat. With the board exposed and the switch posts sticking up in the air, you can see clearly that there is no movement on that particular switch. Question being - should I source a new board, source a new switch and have someone put it in, or just ride with out that function? The fact that the switch broken is the switch needed to reset, I wont be able to reset mpg, speeds, trip etc. I have been really surprised at how serviceable everything has been so far which is great for me as I like to do my own work.
