yes, definitely get the right springs installed for your weight.

Yeah. I know it'll never be an R6, but I think it can be much better if I lighten the bike up a bit. The power of the S3 more than makes up for the downgrade in handling for street riding. I think I'm just gonna set sag, and put more miles on it before I change a thing. Hopefully it stays warm enough to rack up some more miles before I have to put her away for the winter.

I have an 08 S3 and IMO, the suspension is pretty mediocre. It's better than my CBR600F2 was, but it's a compromise of cost versus quality. It doesn't bother me, because it's just a streetbike.

Anyway, Metric Devil (Motorsports?) is closer to you than Markbilt. I think they are just north of Philly. I haven't heard anyone complain about their work and they definitely put out some fast race bikes. MRP Motorsports is my personal preference for suspension work, but being in Maryland might be further than you'd wanna go.

Thanks for the suggestion. I contacted them on their Facebook page. I guess they have some promotions going on for the holiday.

It will be the best 50 bucks you spend. Be patient. Find a good place or guy that can do it for ya and you'll be stoked. Then make the decision if you need to replace the suspension.

I did the ohlins rear swap (not TTX but next one down) and traxxion dynamics pistons in the forks with ohlins linear rate spring for my weight. Definitely improved the ride. No amount of "fiddling" with damping adjusters with an already limited range of movement will make such a difference. IT's like debating whehter to put 91 octane gas or racing fuel into a 1,000cc car for increase acceleration.
