2012 Speed Triple R price
Is anybody seeing good deals on Speed Triple R in the US? What sort of price should I expect to pay for a 2012, or are the dealers holding firm to the MSRP?

Since the 2013s are about to come in I would imagine they'd be motivated to make room and sell the 2012s. That said, at least near me, they only have one R... and they haven't lowered the advertised price of it. Whereas the normal speed triples have been lowered around a grand or so. I would think there's always room if they're motivated to move inventory. I just bought a new speed triple, and IMO it's a buyer's market. Especially if you pay cash like I did, they'll be willing to work a deal.

The New Orleans dealer put a bunch of Triumph accessories on their 2012 Speed R so it actually is listed for more than the 2013 Speed R.
2012 Speed R $16,999
2013 Speed R $15,999
I've never tried buying from them so I've no idea how much, if any, they may discount the price in the end.

I'm seeing the same price at Triumph Detroit. $15,999. That can probably be negotiated against, but not by much.

I doubt they'd be able to do any better than $14,999. Like bradvanhorn said, they usually put accessories on their R's.

FWIW they are a good 10% down here.

Local BMW Triumph delaer here in Austin is notorious for not dealing on price. Period.
You pay MSPR + Tax, title, freight, set up, + full list price on any accessories they added to the bike, and typically will not sell bike without any accessories they have installed as extra.
I have seen bikes sit on their showroom for months on end- no movement on the price.
Glad to hear not every Triumph dealer is that way.
S3R is a sweet bike. Said Triumph dealer has one in white on the floor. But it is going to be near enough to 20 grand out the door!

Our local wont deal on ANYTHING either... $200 off full MSRP plus all fees? NO... we cannot even make a profit at that price he tells me. Ooookay buddy. Thusly, I have bought all of my bikes from out of state from dealers that must be losing money hand over fist
They have an R for the low low price of $18,300 OTD BWAhahaha. I spent a full $8500 less on my lowly standard S3 OTD, out of state.

My local shop has a 2012 on the floor and I know they got in a '13 so I'm going to see what they are willing to drop it to. They will deal a little on current stuff and I would bet Triumph will be offering some incentives pretty soon on left overs.
