Alternator cover gasket question

I need to get a new alternator cover and gasket. I have a 2010 S3.

I went on Bikebandit to order the parts.

I have the correct alternator cover ordered from what I have read on here. (there are 2)

I pulled the cover off the bike and I have a metal gasket. Bikebandit says the metal gasket they have listed goes on engine 356143-403403.

My bike has engine number 407319 (5407319 is what is stamped just behind the clutch cover)

So, the stupid question. Should I order the metal gasket they say isn't for my engine, or the other gasket that isn't metal. Will it matter?

I have the metal gasket on my 07 and have had it on and off more times than I can count! I just keep reusing it.

So just to confirm guys, the metal gasket is actually metal? Not just paper with a metal colour?

Parts guy just told me both were metal. Guess I just got the metal coloured one lol. Part: T1261098

Yep, it's metal. It has a bead running around it that appears to get crushed when the cover is torqued down. I checked with a magnet
