to start i have the wolf race cans and clip-ons on my bike.
see my photo album...

well, i am going to the dealership the 28th to get my recall done on the coolant lines. so, i figured i would get some other stuff done to it:
diablo tires
new gold chain
oil change
finally getting the new map installed for my exhaust

and slapping it on the dyno (i will post numbers after)

i hope my new rizoma rear sets are in by then.

i guess the real reason i am posting this is does anyone have anything else i should have the dealer do while i am here? or any more stupid bull sh*t i can have added to it?

also i am looking for a nitrous kit for it with a small bottle...

thanks,
Aaron

Lucky***** with those rearsets if they're in. Looking to add a set of those myself before long.

Don't forget to have your blinker fluid changed, lol. I always like to ask a shop to do that for me to see how they respond.

Mmmm, a Motech Centerstand would make that nice new chain a lot easier to maintain. Seems they dropped the price down to $179.99 now too!

thanks man.

i have a pit bull rear stand that can go on either side, so i think i am all set...

i dont think i ever checked my blinker fluid so i should have them check it, and while they are at it i think the muffler bearing needs to be replaced too. lol

kuhlka, check out the post "rear sets from yesterday, those are the rear sets i got and the website. i got them for like 495 including shipping from italy that includes a set of foldable pege too...

Here's your nitrous kit.

StreetfightersUSA Nitrous Kit for triples.

Which is in reality
This brand but cheaper.

Maybe video rear view screens instead of mirrors? I've seen it and it's too cool for words.

While you are at it, you need to install the iPod dock, power booster, sub-woofers, and 5.1 surround sound. All of it keyed to the strobes you'll install in the headlights of course.

This particular kit comes with a 2.5lb bottle. You can order smaller bottles if you want from Nitrous Express.

The 2.5Lb bottle (complete w/ motorcycle valve) is 4.38"dia x 12.37" tall. Just about the right size to fit inside a disguised left hand muffler.

Nitrous Express does have 16 oz bottles that are 3.2"dia x 9.3" tall and 1.4Lb bottles that are 3.2"dia x 11.38" tall. This includes motorcycle valve.

Go as big as you can or you'll run out at the wrong moment!

well, i was in my garage today, and sat there looking at my bike and i have no idea where i could mount the nitrous tank... i was thinking above the rear shock in that little area, but its to small. i think my only real option it on the right side next to the rad and oil cooler...

any suggestions where i could mount it?

The guy I know with a Nitrous ZX12 has it mounted just aft of the rear shock. Of course, his swing arm is extended about 6 inches so there's plenty of room.

I think you are right and that somewhere up around the radiator/oil cooler is a good idea. Maybe you could drop the oil cooler a little bit and fit it horizontally between them.

Other possibilities: get a Renthal handlebar with the cross stiffener and replace the stiffener with your bottle. It would be interesting, out of the way, easy to open/close, and easy to remove/exchange.

I saw a Ducati with two bottles mounted to custom brackets, one to each of the inverted forks. It looked kind of stupid, but it worked.

Oh, or maybe horizontally to the forks below the headlight. That might work best. This would also keep the bottle cooler on hot days.

Dang, now my mind is working.

Simple: You don't.

Oh, on the speed triple you could try to find a two sided swing arm off of a Sprint RS or Tiger and have that extended. Actually, I believe the Tiger swing arm is a little longer already. So this could be done.

I think everyone will agree that extending a single sided swing arm is a dangerously bad idea. I could do it, but I never would. Unless maybe for a show-only bike.

Let me know how the installation of the Nitrous goes. I've been considering that as well.
