Hat Hate

I hate the look of the hat on my speedy but wanted it for cooler weather riding so I painted it. I was trying to make it's lines flow more with the bike's lines and take away the pixie hat look. I think it's a little better. I might flat black power coat the head light bowls next.

Black fender would look good too - really softens the front end.

That looks really good. Hard to tell, but is it CF? You should get a CF fender and do some white trim on it as well.

Yes it is still a carbon painted pixie hat... I wanted to "try" and soften the lines of the hat and I used all different pre set up views i could figure ..But it is still a hat. I would like to see Triumph or some one design something that looked really cool on these bikes but I guess it really is a true naked bike as it should be.

I think I do see some black on the front fender now. Maybe I will order some of that 3M carbon wrap and add some on the side where it connects but I would not want it all black,

I like it much better flatted out.
I was fortunate (?) that some idiot backed into my bike while it was parked, only scraping the front fender, so his insurance company bought me a carbon fiber front fender for my white 06. I reaaaally wanted to do this anyways, but I hate spending money for cosmetic changes when suspension work and the Next Big Service are looming. I don't have a pixie hat, but if I did, I would want it in CF to match the fender, or at least matte black.
