Can anyone comment on how the Motomfg socket works on the wheel nut faces - that is if the flats of the socket grip the flats of the wheel nut?

I have a six point 46mm impact socket that is of decent quality, but it's a bit of a loose fit and the edges of the socket flats at the relieved points dig into the wheel nut.
