On my 2000 S3 I just bought the Triumph tank bag. In the directions it doesn't really show how to mount it for the S3.(correctly). It only shows pictures of Bonniville and Sprint. I have it going under the tube frame right under the ''955i'' logo in the front and in the back the two straps both go under the rear fuel tank mount. Is this how the rest of you did it? The brackets that came with it can't be used on the S3 without trimming the fairing mounts. I wouldn't do that anyway.

What brackets? You have to mount the velcro bottom pad securely, and it sounds like you have the front correct. You have to run the two long straps down the back corners of the tank around the tank mount and cinch them up tight. It helps to get the quick release seat pins from www.rideteamtriumph.com as you have to remove the seat to attach the pad.

Then I do have it on there right. I didn't use the brackets for it would have been impossible anyway. Thanks. :-D
