You tried to find the perfect one too? She aint out there. I have had many many affairs with different bikes but have been lucky to keep my one wife. I think I decided to trade bikes a lot instead. Trading people hurts a lot more.

I've owned a 09 Street R and currently own a 11 Speed.

Speed has ton's of torque and is a easier ride at abouve 140 kph but the Street kills my Speed at the around town and twisties..

Only Bike I ever regret selling.

Same here, the 09 R is a much better bike than the Speed hey!

I love my 2012 Speed. I test rode both the Speed and Street R before buying and for my taste the Speed was the better bike. The new 2013 Street R looks pretty nice though.

Most of my riding these days is on the racetrack and I find the high stability level of the Speed very inspiring. I wouldn't mind if the Speed was a bit lighter so over the winter I'm going to see if I can reduce the weight. A new exhaust will drop 10 lbs easily so that's my first step - I'm thinking SC Project.

I am very intrigued by the announcement of the Brutale 800. If the bike is as good as it looks on paper then it's going to be quite a potent machine. Unfortunately, I'm sure the price tag - assuming it even comes to the U.S. - will be fairly hefty.

I've call a MV Augusta dealer here in Canada, and the Brutale 800 will be a $17000 over bike

I had an '08 Street with a Elka shock and an Arrow lowboy. I traded it on a leftover 2011 Speedie (with Arrow lowboy) this spring.

The only thing I miss is the Speedie engine doesn't ramp up the revs in the same way as the 675. Otherwise, I'm happy. The Speed is much better for longer rides. It's less frantic and not as skittish on bumpy backroads.

Maybe the Street R is a better ride than my modded '08... but I had that bike set up perfectly and it railed.

The Speed with lowboy is a lot more serious but still very easy to ride.

I only sat on a Street and it felt smaller to me. I have only owned speedies so maybe I am bias but is the street smaller?

But yes strangely enough the 675cc Street Triple is smaller than the 1050cc Speed Triple!

Yeah I was serious. Obviously the displacement is smaller just wasn't sure if the bike dimensions were. I didn't like the street simply because i was too tall for it it felt like. I never looked at the bike dimensions.
