I was on my way home the other night the highway was deserted so I let her eat I was up around 130 when I seen lights in the distance
I always slow down when I see cars coming you never know
I was able to get down to 70 and it was a cop it was a 55 zone and he never tapped his brakes at all
We had 11 guys up north in the twisties doing 115 lead guy about 120 and we came across a cop suv all he did was turn on his lights
The front runners naturally put distance on him but all the slower guys said he just cruised right past
I've had two ticket free years so far
we had a cop turn around on a guy leading us so I turned around everyone asked why so I told them we pull up to that mess and were getting tickets too
Sure enough the guy got scooped up in the next town
You have to ride with instincts on all the time
that poor guy you passed was probably hassled for what you did I can see the guy now but it wasn't me you passed awfulsir

I think the motorcycle world will be a better place when we all use two way radios in our helmets. I use the X1 slim, uses GMRS like a walkie talkie. Even in the worst terrain, mountains and canyons I get over a mile and a half. Open terrain 5 miles. Beats communicating about police by tapping on the top of your helmet. Sadly we still can not communicate with competing systems, Scala to Chatterbox for example. B ut in the playgrounds around here, Palomar mountain for example, we band together and let everyone know when the police are cruising as one small victory for us on two wheels. Police have a purpose and provide value, ticketing bikes is not a high priority unless the rider is out of control in traffic or drinking. Screw those guys. But playing in low traffic areas with some sense, leave us assume our own risk.

The guys I ride with on the twisties use chatterbox... I wonder if it's possible to have one of the folks in the pack scan thru the channels to listen for chatter of cops from other people...
