REMUS HEXAGON exhaust

I'm thinking of getting this exhaust for my S3.Anyone have one ? Any positive or negative issues. The carbon fiber can look really nice.

I installed the Remus CF on my 2011. I have had no issues thus far (7 months and over 10K miles) and I think the Hexacone really ties in well with the S3's lines.

It's Hexacone, but yes I have them on my 2012. They sound awesome, but you expect that when you get decent brand pipes from companies that spend time on r&d.

Huge huge improvement over stock, and much nicer to ride than the CW rubbish too!

Just an FYI for the CW. I had my bike dyno'd a little while back, there was 0 loss of torque and a nice smooth, almost veritcal, line making 90% of torque by around 2500 RPM and 95% by 3500 then slowly continuing to peak torque at around 5-7k before dropping off to maybe 90% of peak again at redline, hp line looked great too...I forget what the actual numbers were and am at work so can't grab them but they were in line with what others have posted on aftermarket exhausts.

So you and others may have not had good luck with it, but to say its a bad exhaust is just incorrect and you probably had some other issue causing your problem.

Some other issue would still be present with another exhaust then. I ignored it till others had the same thing, the bike performs and sounds much better with twin pipes

The quality of the sound is a subjective thing Fennell, all you can say is you like the sound of the twin hi pipes better.

I have CF Arrow half system on my 06 speedy (twin pipes) and recently I, and a mate had our bikes tuned on a dyno by Wayne MacDonald (Tuneboy) in Sydney. He got a really good result with mine (about a 9hp gain). My mate has an old 05 thats done over 100,000km, and he has a very short, homemade cut down dirt bike pipe on his bike that is not much longer than a CW. His bike produced more power and torque through the whole rev range (except for the last 200 revs before redline where mine slipped past with about 0.2bhp more.) So I don't think you can make a claim that twin high pipes produce more power and torque in the low to mid range. That was where the old 05 was strongest.

And the engine hasn't changed. The tune is a little different and the air box is a little different, but that won't really impact the exhaust that significantly. I am not saying it is the best one out there or that maybe another may make a few more HP. But I can tell you the comments about massive loss of torque down low are not true, and the charts show that.

I have posted this before in other threads but and posting again here in case the OP is still looking at a possible Remus addition to his bike.

As I said earlier, I am still very happy with it!!
