Ew...

Keep the USD forks, but I dont know if theyll swing the single-sided with that frame if theyre using the 675 frame. Im a big fan of tubular trellis Frames and SSSAs.

I have more fun and can go faster on a smaller discplacement bike. I love the power and torque of the Speed Triple, but it's a little more than I need. So I totally see the benefit of a lighter and even more flickable naked triple with an upright seating position.
I have a KTM SMC 625 a street legal supermoto (soon to have Akrapovic full titanium exhaust)
it is sooooo much fun to ride, with only 50+ hp, my sport bike buddies actually hold me up in the twisties, its fun easily picking them off one by one in the turns, on a long straight away they will pass me once they get the rpm's up… but I own them in the turns.

I love this supermotard enough to sell the 05 S3 if I had to make a choice to get rid of one.
both have benefits, S3 undeniable power and drivability, the supermoto fun-fun-fun

currently learning to "back it in" in parking lots (kicking out the rear tire on hard turns using combination of countersteering, braking and throddle to actually spin the rear tire slower than the bike is moving to get lined up and peg the throddle for the straights )

Some people just peg the throddle around the apex, others lock the rear ands slide until they have a good shot at the straight.

This is not my bike, but close enough, my rims are polished aluminum

Supermotards are a kick. I just wish I had room and extra cash for one. Someday, maybe.

Does anyone have a picture of the 675 without all the bodywork and fairing on it? I want to do a Photochop but I can't find a good picture of it showing the engine and frame. I seem to recall that Torque had a good picture like this, but I've thrown that issue away.

Thanks in advance.

No surprises from this pic. Looks exactly like what it is, a Daytona 675 sans fairing + dual headlights on a stalk.

I hope they keep the suspension and brakes the same, just like they did on the Speed Four. I can live without a single sided swingarm. Still, I understand the need to keep costs down. If they tune it for torque, as I'm sure they will, the bike oughta be a real wheelie monster.

The rear looks a little high...might be uncomfortable for passengers. Otherwise, I'm on board. I hope it comes in that silver/gray that the D675 comes in.

I dunno. I think I need to see some more pics because there is a lot of black empty space that looks out of place without the fairings there to fill them. The shape of the bike just doesn't seem right for a naked...

Agreed. There's more to making a palatble naked bike than just stripping off the bodywork. This one would need quite a bit of "gussying up" to appeal to anyone.
