Has anyone fitted a quick action throttle to a Pre-05 speed triple???
Any advice welcome as I cannot get on with the long travel of the standard set up

sparkyjim,

I don't recall anybody posting about it in this forum, but check out the t595.net site. Do a search in the "Performance Tips & Tricks" section an you'll find it. They discuss doing the single and double cable versions of it and it all seems to replicate WHAT THIS GUY DID IN GERMANY (CLICK).

There is a guy on t595 named Tony woodhouse, and he has made a few kits for various members. If you click on his name, you can email him with questions.

I emailed Tony saying I wanted to buy his kit, but after several emails he never got back to me. I'm considering just buying the adjustable throttle carpimoto offers or getting one of my machinist buddies to make me one of the adapters.

Kulka, I don't know if tony is making them or what. But check out this setup for the '02's and up. http://www.yoyodyneti.com/

I bought one for my bike, but returned it when I discovered I couldn't use it with my single cable setup. A nice piece of kit, but not cheap.

How adjustable is that one? I'd rather save up my cash for a set of rizoma rearsets at this point, but if it is an awesome setup, I might just go for it.

Actually, after checking out the site, it looks like everything on there is waaay overpriced compared to carpimoto, even with shipping. Their locking fuel caps are like $50 more as just one example. I'll just save up and get my rearsets and other goodies from Carpimoto.

It comes with 3 different interchangeable cam profiles, so you can dial in how much twist you want. I got one from Pete's Performance in N.Y. for my single setup.

$160 before shipping just seems a bit excessive to me for yoyodyne.
