I remember reading a post or two from other people who replaced the "Mickey Mouse" stock mirrors with bar ends and found nice, inexpensive screws or plugs to cap the old mirror attachment holes. Somebody said something about black plastic plugs from maybe Home Depot?
Finally got a set of CRGs (from girlfriend for X-mas)
Also, what about flipping the stock bars upside down, for a different riding style? Once again, I remember reading a post from someone who did this. Sorry.....must get better at finding these old postings!!

Here's a post in which I reference a cost efficient way to address the holes left by the removal of the stock mirrors:

StreetfighterOC,

You can check out those hole screws in my album here: Hole screws. I got mine at a local bike shop because it was 2x to have them shipped. Keep in mind, they screws are plastic, so if you're not careful, you can over spin them and hurt the threads (but so far so good with mine).

Also, it was Kuhlka that tried to spin his bars upside down. If I remember correctly he found the bars hitting the sides of the tank well before the stops and the riding position was pretty cr*ppy.

Actually, flipping the stock bars wasn't all the bad. The cables definitely weren't long enough, but the bars didn't hit the tank. However, they did touch the preload adjusters though but that wasn't a huge issue as it was only a temporary experiment to see if I liked the clip-on riding position. I found I did not, unless maybe I would do a trackday or something. It killed my back after only a short time riding.

Here are a few pics including my previous silver Rizoma Reverse bar end mirrors;

Kulka,

When you say previous Rizoma's, did you switch to something else? I looked on the Trick Tape site and couldn't find a listing for the mirrors. I really like the Rizoma's. Anyplace else to get them?

Thanks for the link! I guess I don't speak EU, I can't find the right hand mirror! According to Rizoma's website, BS070A is the silver left hand mirror. BS072A is the silver right hand mirror. Carpimoto only shows the left. If I order two will the automatically send me a left and a right?

I gave my father my sliver pair and bought a set of black reverse mirrors and bar ends. So, they look basically the same, except my streetfighter bars are black and the mirrors are black now as well.

I was able to order through tricktape but it took a month or two. Your best bet is to go carpimoto and just add a note requesting a SET of mirrors, right and left, as well as get the rizoma bar ends to match as it makes fitting a LOT easier and they include additional adapters to fit Renthals with their smaller ID opening.
