Here is the story. I bought an 05 Truimph Speed Triple this past spring. I knew pretty quick that the mufflers would eventually have to go. I wanted something that didnt look stock and definitely didnt sound stock. A cool set of cans were running between $600 and $900. Being the cheap b*stard that I am I spotted these carbon fiber cans on ebay that are for riceing out your honda (or whatever) car for $26 each plus shipping.

I had the maintenance guy from work help me with the adapters I needed to have welded to get the bikes small pipes to step up to the 2 1/2 inch inlet of the cans. Here are the results:

(I hope I dont exceed my bandwith at photobucket)
I fired it up today and rode it around the block to warm it up. The sound is quite amazing. I didnt notice too much popping or anything. Might get remap done later anyways.

Here is a link to the video:

Not bad. They're bigger than I thought when you first posted the pictures.

I would expect them to be howling loud. At very least they're different than just about anybody else.

But you simply must do something about tying up those breather hoses. Tacky.

They look better than a few aftermarket systems I've already seen for the new S3! Most of the aftermarket stuff so far doesn't look as good as the stock stuff. I like yours and I bet the fact that they were blue helped your decision to buy them! LOOKS GOOD!

Those look great and thumbs up for having the nadds to try something different. You should of posted saying you are marketing a new product and are selling systems for $800. I bet you would sell quite a few. Question is do they sound the same as they do on cars; you know that farting in a metal coffee can sound?

Gawdy. Rice looking. But I appreciate your trying to be different.
I still like the stock looking mufflers.
Why are some car and bike folks are so anal about mufflers?
Personally, I like NO mufflers.

Way cool! The bike looks like a serious sound producing machine.
