Lol, don't let age get you down. Most of those punk bands have been around since the early 80s.

I played trumpet all through high school and did the jazz band thing on the side, though I'm not a huge fan of most jazz. I could never stand bebop and all that bumblebee jazz where the music just seems to go all over the place and get lost. I really like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cherry Poppin' Daddies though. I've always been a more swing/bigband kind of guy with my jazz.

I was raised listening to the classics too;

ACDC
Bad Company
Cream/Clapton
Frank Zappa
George Thorogood
Jethro Tull
J. Geils band
Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Pink Floyd
Rolling Stones
Rush
The Doors
ZZ Top

and many others. Gotta skim the cream off the top of the musical crop as one might say.

For the hardcore punker at heart you can try any of the following REAL punk bands (that pansy-ass bubblegum pop ***** those emo freaks are putting out is just depressing).

Anti-Flag
Bouncing Souls
......
System of a Down
The Clash (of course)

System of a Down is a punk band? :hammer: well.....I guess I would have a hard time putting them into a specific genre....unless there is one for "Bush Haters"....LOL  ....I do like a lot of their stuff though.

Nice attitude! You're probably one of those Aholes that never throw up a hand or talk to fellow bikers. Fine if you want to be that way, but why in the heck are you conversing with all of us on here? ">

So it still goes on huh? Notice how when it comes to mixing people, what they identify themselves as and bikes get muddled into a conversation there is always some folk just have to point out what is not their "cup of tea"?
What is someone who's "cup of tea" it is supposed to do? Pretend the completely unnecessary jab didnt happen?

Roadkill points out "hey guys, I saw our bikes somewhere else, check it out", then I, the individual not the "self identified 'culture'" or unnecessary political direction this seems to be going, who is into just this music, who has the bike is a contributing member of this board along with all you guys hears stuff like; "I know music taste is subjective but all the bike pics on earth are not worth that." what in all the world did you suppose would happen? Nobody would say anything?

Minimal comments about the bike, I appreciate 'cheapbastard' taking things down a notch to make it easygoing and no big thing and I even appologized to the forum but then you gotta go tellin' people they look like fools... I'm grown, educated, and cultured my friend, and a fool is something I do not look like! No pill needed!

Generally a comment like that is deliberate, and as men we know what kind of road this takes us down. As men we know this! I'm in PA ur in Washington, whats supposed to happen? Flame war?

I've seen videos where bikes are used for all sorts of things and much of it is put to music, I hear no comments about the music only about the good or bad about the rider of the bike whether racing or stunting or whatever. What is it that when it comes to "certain" things, there are always jabbing comments, as if there is some illigitimacy to "some" employing the bike how they feel? So the music or scene is not your thing, you make no comments about the bike other that "...all the bike pics on earth are not worth that". What is anybody gonna presume?

I mean beside the artist, the bike takes center stage with lots of shots and detail, I mean it gets serious airtime and there is no "yay" just your statement.

This thread is starting to sound like the ****** kawasaki forum with all this bickering. This board to me stands out as an exception to those others out there in the way we related and treated each other but now we are a step or two below offering to employ fisticufs. Not what I came here for nor for thoughtless unnecessary opinionated jabs.

Had some friends of mine read the thread and without exception all had the same initial reaction without any goading from me. All said in some fashion "what did he mean by that?" So Geof3 my small collection of individuals dont see ourselves as overly sensitive, we see it as appropriately sensitive.

Anyhow I'm done with this particular thread, to continue with it will just turn me off from this overall good forum and largely cool group of people who are really exceptional in the cycling world (much like BMW riders) who see themselves as more cycling purists rather then fad followers, posers and cliquish and who largely are inclusive because they operate in a world in which their chosen steed are largely an under appreciated minority.

I've seen few threads that have gotten this number of views in a 24-hr period..

Nuff's, enough! Rude's right, let's get back to bikes! This was all about a clip with the Speed3. My apologies for any statements that got off subject. If we can't get this resolved ourselves, I just wished the mod would close the thread! Me and Rude are straight, so what's all the rest of the whining about? I love my Speed3 and the info I get on this site, let's get back to those basics. :chug:

Hope there will be more S3 videos, exposure can be nice sometimes, not too much!

The bike is a pre 2002 S3, you can tell by the gauges and fairing. (windscreen)

Thanks!

TON UP!

lol 'appropriate sensitivity'.

Reminds me of the new Dropkick Murphys song titled "Wicked Sensitive Crew".

Don't be suprised if you see more and more of the S3 on tv (Charmed had it in an episode) and music videos, now that Kyle Woods has gone English. I'm still not sure what to think of his 'woodie' paintjob though. Can't think of many OGs or pop stars who would rock the wood grain on their bike.

I'm going to lock this thread down and ask that it not be perpetuated.

It's not that I've got anything against music. I've been to some crazy concerts in my lifetime.

However, the reason why I don't share it on TriumphRat.Net is the possibility of the discussion going in the direction this thread has. Regardless of the initial intention, it's difficult to keep discussions like this on track and related to motorcycles.
