Sorry for your crash, glad you still have all your pieces, get well.

Clutch, pull the clutch, buys you time to think about the kill switch next time :P

Speedy recovery. Sorry for the busted body parts and bent metal ones. I have been looking at crash protection and have come to the conclusion that some pads do nothing in deflecting much force and lots to transmit force over a larger area. This causes more trauma and a larger break and more bone damage. I am now a believer in Motorport kit. A suit with effective pads will run a grand, lots of bucks. But cheap in comparison to rebuilding your body especially here in the USA where we get screwed on healthcare cost compared to the Brits and the French to name a few.

I am really sorry to hear about your crash. There is no feeling quite equal to not having your lady sitting in the garage in one piece.

Heal yourself, take any lesson you can from the accident, and enjoy shopping for a new gal.

I do have one question for you though. Do you think anti lock brakes would have any way prevented this? My bike doesn't have this feature and sometimes I think it is just a matter of time before some impossible situation arises that I'll need them and wish I had 'em.

i dont think abs would have helped to be honest everything was so quick, i think i got off lightly and maybe the right thing was done maybe not but im alive with reletivly light injury after 60-70mph off in traffic +1 for always wearing the right gear makes me cringe when i hear a bike go past like im stood still and low and behold no protective clothing hate to think what would have happened if i hadnt had mine
