I'm sure this topic has been posted but I see that Golden Spectro is now making a full synthetic oil in the appropriate viscocity. Has anyone used this new oil yet or even the Mobil 1 for cars. My warranty is now up on my 03 S3 and I was checking into other oils to save some money on the expensive Triumph offering. Any opinions would be great if someone is currently using other than Triumph oils.

Thanks,
Scott

I've been using Amsoil in all my bikes for the past decade.Good oil and considerably less cost than the Mobil. They also have filters for about half the cost.I run the 10/40 in my Speed Triple and 20/50 in my Trophy.

I used Golden spectro for years in my Suzuki/Yamaha racing two strokes and never had any oil related problems. They have been making oil for bieks fro many years and I would not hesitate to use their synthetic stuff inb my new S 3 as soon as i can find some.
good company!

I have used the red cap 15-50 mobil one oil in my ducati but not sure if I would use it in wet clutch applications.

I have used the golden spectro as well but Im a beleiver in mobil one synthetic oils to be the best.

I am currently running Golden Spectro 15w-50 full syn in my Daytona 1200 for the last 2500 miles. They make a quality product. So far I am satisfied. There is a small cost savings over the Triumph/Mobil brand. I wanted to try Golden Spectro because I have had good experience with them in my son's dirt bikes and in my old KZ650. BTW Golden Spectro 15w-50 is the official vendor for BMW oil. If you go to a BMW dealer check label.

I used to run G.S. in my Husky 250 and never had any probs, either. I am using the Mobil 1 Gold cap 15/50, and no clutch slippage.
