DG,
Out of curiousity, did you bypass the connector from the stator to the R/R?

Yes, I hard wired straight to the stator.
I cut the connector off and used the official Ford recommended solder joint with heat shrink cover.
I also terminated the power input to the harness and wired straight to the battery.

More / poor connections = more potential failure points. Eliminate them

So then you can still test the stator off of the lead to the R/R. correct?
I did the upgrade ages ago but left the connectors in place, I did however upgrade to the Eastern Beaver weather proof connector so no hassles there.

Yes that is correct.
It is a little more of a PITA to retest , but I tested the stator before I upgraded and I am just hoping all is well right now .

At the time I upgraded I did not have the patience to wait for the EB parts .

I just ordered some waterproof connectors and a few fuse holders from him. I had my order "expedited" through the Japanese post. It was in my hands, from Japan, to Alabama, in two days, for $12

USPS is seriously dropping the ball, they need to take some notes..

FYI, I'm currently replacing the fuse older that comes in this kit, its junk. It builds up too much heat the the black plastic part melted/warped. I caught it during normal checks on the bike. The fuse was NOT blown. I went with the fuse holders eastern beaver carries. They keep both wires coming in fully separated, and the housing allows plenty of cooling vs the supplied thick black plastic one that retains it.
