There should be screw covers that blend in with the plastic facing you as you're sitting on the bike. The ones on my 03 blend in really well with the panel so they're kind of hard to see. Once you find those, you should be able to unscrew the screws holding on the hat, then unscrew the ones holding on that back cover and then your guages should just be there.

Yeah, it has a digital speedo, but don't they bolt on in a similar way? The hats can't be THAT different. I wouldn't be suprised if the 05+ mounts up the same way.

I have an analogue speedo that is way bigger than your digital one but i looked for what your talking about before i posted and couldn't seem to find it. all I have is some Allen bolts on the front of the speedo that don't look like they go all the way through and some rivets.

Have you tried T595.net? There are a lot of guys on there with the 98-01 model who should know.

I've been around reading but now finally joined to try to help with this issue.

Look under your instrument cluster and you'll find 3 larger screws tucked away. One on top and 1 on each side. They will loosen the hat and you'll be able to remove it.
