Alrighty.....I've had to tighten my head bearings a few times since getting the bike new. The manual calls for the adjuster nut to be finger tight, well, my adjuster nut is a lot tighter than that and they still click under extreme circumstances ie hitting potholes in the road or, when at a standstill, if i roll the bike backwards and hit the front brake hard then roll the bike forward and hit the front brake hard i can hear and feel a click/clunk from the headstock. Is it normal to have some movement under these kind of situations?
Although my steering is still relatively smooth i'm unsure whether to tighten the adjuster nut anymore, as like i said, its already effin tight. What do yous reckon??

The bike has done 2500 miles. cheers chaps, Chris

Do you wheelie a lot?

I do!

On my 02 S3 we would go about 1/4 turn more than recommended. I ended up adjusting them about every 2K miles.

On my 05 S3 I have almost 4,000 miles and still tight as new. I do test it frequently the way you do. When slowing down or coming to a stop.

Keep asking!
