I just got my bike back from the dealer. The mechanic pinched the breather hose under the tank and it stopped running. I did find quite a vacuum in the tank when i discovered it. Now it will crank and crank but nothing. after 20 to 30 seconds of cranking 1 puff but still nothing. Called the service department and they have no idea why it wouldn't run. Has anyone had a similar problem? I would like to fix myself if it is an easy fix.( they took 3 weeks to do the coolant hose recall, replace the passenger peg hangers, and work on the brakes) So I don't want to take it back unless absolutely necessary. I am also not sure that I trust them since this problem occurred after 2 minutes of idling, so they most likely didn't test ride it after servicing.
Thanks

Yes, I had the exact same problem. Took the bike back to the dealer. It is an issue with the tank vacuum. They did not tell me exactly what they did but what I gathered was they re-rerouted come hoses and grounded down a piece of plastic on the tank. The good news, my bike now starts with one push of the starter instead of two or three and it runs better than ever.

There's a one way valve that hangs off the bottom of the tank. Absolute *****. It's for the tank breather. Rip that thing off and put on a longer hose in it's place and you shouldn't have any more problems.

I ended up with a new tank under warranty because of that little*****, constantly sucking in the tank and ended up cracking the paint.
