So I'm kind of stuck here. I am in dire need of a valve adjustment / tune up. I also need the tune for the factory carbon exhaust installed. I've hear and read such miserable things about the L.A. area dealers that I really don't want to take my bike to any of them. I've been trying to schedule a time with Adrian Packett but he's not been available and won't be until January.

Can anybody recommend, with confidence, a shop that will do good work on the later model bikes?

Thanks!

These guys are in Brea off of Lambert. I got my Daytona from them and have several friends buy their bikes from them. They are great guys and do good work. They specialize in Triumphs and Ducatis.

Orange county Triumph in Santa Ana did my 12k service & did it for much less than the San Diego dealers & good work too.

I second the recommendation for socaltriumph. I had my ST remapped there when i changed pipes. I was going the other way, though, aftermarket pipe to stock.

It's a very clean/organized shop and the techs are friendly. They took my bike when they said they would, charged me what they quoted, and had the bike ready when they said they would.

I would not recommend LA Cycles in West LA. I was unable to drop off my bike for 6 weeks for the 12k service. I was told certain days to bring it and once i got there they said they couldn't take it on four separate occasions.

I was charged for parts/labor without authorizing the repairs.

I picked up the bike at the time i said i would day after they said it was ready. The service manager did make an effort by cleaning up the bike before letting me take it. I would of hoped they would have done that before i got there instead of making me stand there watching them clean it, however.

Lastly, i had trucked the bike back and forth. When i finally went to ride it, the Check Engine light was on. I guess it was set off during the major maintenance. After it reset, it hadn't come on again. I would think that they would reset it, or at least explain that it would go away in 3 cycles which i found out later on my own.

I live 15 minutes away from LA Cycles, but i will drive the hour and 15 to go to socaltriumph.

Yeah I have heard bad things about LA Cycle. Not just with Triumph but all the brands they sell.

Cool. Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds like Brea is the place to go. Gonna have the fuel fitting recall done too.

Does anybody have experience with Motorcycle Performance Services on La Brea near Pico? I stopped in there the other day to see about a part and talked with the owner for a bit. He said that they have all the shims to do valve adjustments there and will do Triumph service.

I 3rd....I guess 4th or 5th. The recomendtion to go to Southern California Triumph, Ducati, and now, Victory. I think they go by Moto Exotic now. (whatever) Anyway, I bought
my 03 S3 there and have always been pleased with the service. Question: What does OC Triumph in Santa Ana charge for a 12k valve adjustment/tune up?
