Corbin Seat for a 2011/2012 Speed Triple

This is an extremely mighty tall request but I am going crazy waiting for someone living in Central or Northern California to drop their 2011 or 2012 Speed Triple by the Corbin Hollister factory so that the R & D department there can kick out an after market seat for the later model years. I would do it myself but I live in Florida.

The stock seat on the 2011 is fine for shorter runs but I often do between 600 to 900 mile days and things throughout my whole body start screaming after several prolonged hours--even with frequent breaks.

I have a GSA for really long hauls but I have found myself amazed just how much the S3 appeals to me as a short tourer and just how awesome bike is far from home. I do not want to limited my range because of my seat.

Check it out, please. If anyone is interested and does it I would be eternally grateful.

P.S. I do not want the free seat--I want to buy one from Corbin as soon as they are available!!

Theres some guy that a bunch of people around here use to have their stock seats rebuilt.

I have contacted a guy named "Spencer" (he's done seats for me in the past) here in Florida (he's in Palm City) and he will not attempt to rebuild the 2011 S3 stock seat because the pan cracks too easily when he attempts to re-staple the cover back on.

Yeah most likely. I have the triumph gel seat for my 09. Do they not offer the same for your model? Sorry i cant be more help

Triumph does offer a "Comfort Gel Seat" but based on my personal preferences, I believe that the firmness I like the most will not be there. What works for me with the Corbin seats is their Comfort Foam. Some feel it is way too firm but I have found that is exactly what I am looking for.

I have had 2 previous bikes with Corbin seats and absolutely loved them. I even tried Sargent on my GSA and albeit a great seat it was not firm enough. I then tried going with total re-build on my stock GSA seat after that and it just is not working out and I am set to order a Corbin for it as soon as I get back from a business trip in the next few weeks.

I could have swore when I was a kid, my father brought his R100RT BMW seat on a buisness trip to FL. Visited Daytona, Cape Canaveral etc. He came back with a Corbin. Said he stopped by the factory there and they made him a custom seat. Maybe they already had the mold in stock or something.

But regardless offer custom services even if they don't productize it.

Would highly recommend them over 'modern' Corbin any day.
From my personal experience of Corbin, I would recommend looking elsewhere - quality sucked and customer service was worse.

Spencer does great work and it's unfortunate that the quality of the Triumph pan does not afford itself to refitting of the cover without damage - credit to Spencer for at least alerting to that issue.
