I have searched my ass off and not found any performance numbers for this bike...no 1/4 times, no trap speeds...and really no dyno #'s. Anybody have'em?

Man, there are all kinds of #'s out there in magazines! Anyways, here's some #'s that I've seen, as far as HP, I've seen it range between 115-120 @ rear wheel, torque is around 74 ft lbs, and I think I've seen 1/4 miles times in the low 11's, like 11.2-11.4 with trap speeds in the mid to high 120's. They said the bike would probably turn better times if it was geared a little lower, but I personally don't see how they could keep the front wheel on the ground if it was geared lower. I personally don't think it's a good drag racing bike, but throw some turns in front of it, and it rocks! I see you ride an R6, I personally came off of an R1 to the speed3, and the #'s in the magazine don't even do the bike justice! It's a must ride experience!!! Go to your local shop and schedule a test ride!

Test ride! Man your funny! You can test ride all you want in FL, as long as you buy it first. Too many stupid people. If I get an S3 I plan on doing some trackdays and playing around at the local 1/4 just for fun.

yeah, that's the way most of the dealers are up here in NC too, but my local Triumph/BMW shop guys are cool as hell! I haven't experienced anything that they have that they won't let you ride. And sometimes, they don't even go with you, just tell you to bring the bike back in a half hour or so! Oh, I'm sure it would be a blast at either track(dragstrip or road course), I was just saying it's more fun in the twisties. I'll have to let you know what I can run on mine at our local dragstrip, but it's 1/8 not 1/4! Check out the 06 white, it looks sweeet!

If the bike had a longer wheelbase it would get into the 10's easily. But it is too wheelie prone, the main reason I purchased my second S3!!!

The S3 makes up its ground in the corners!!!

I raced mine all last season in totally stock form.

My best 1/4 mile time was 11.33 @ 118 MPH.

I averaged 11.56 or so and 117 MPH.

Next year I'll have new exhaust for an extra couple of HP and I'm thinking of strapping down the front end (which helps prevent wheelies). These two things and MAYBE a ratio change and I'm pretty sure I could get down into the high 10 seconds. Add shift kit and maybe low 10 seconds.

Problem with a lower gear ratio is then it want's to wheelie more and I slow down again.

Remember though, this is not a drag bike! Every Japanese 600 sportbike coming off the ship is running middle 10 second 1/4 miles. However, none of them can keep up with you coming out of a corner! And I can even keep up with the big boys in the 1/8th mile. Torque!
