You should be able to use the larger diameter hole under the pinch bolt (a bit like deiselgeek has done with the spanner) and that sets the orientation sideways for you resevoir braket.. I think it functionally would work personally. But you might have some distance issues with the mastercylinder and the resevoir.. and as a result I think it might look odd.

If you look at the pictures in the Rizoma instructions the mount allows for the side mount position.

I had an hour spare this arvo so I knocked this up for the Thruxton out of some 3 mm flat alu.
