I like the Bonnie's but I think their low power would bore me after awhile :-)

Totally different bikes, totally different types of riding, I rode the new Bonnie and fell in love with it right away. I am getting one.

On the other hand when I want to ride on the DARK SIDE!, I prefer a S3, I have ridden many sport bikes, exotic bikes and the S3 is on a class by itself!!!

Get both if you can! You might also consider a SV-650, it is a great track Bike!!!!

TON UP!

I have owned both bikes and still have my S3. The Bonnie is a modernised version of the old bike and suffers somewhat because of it. The ride is much less compliant than the S3, the power is well down etc etc.
It is a starter bike and a nostalgia play. Hey if you want to do a Steve McQueen then the Bonnie is your bike. However in my opinion if he was alive today he would not buy this bike! He would have a Tiger or maybe he would spend a lot of money and buy a 1200GS. Heck he may even like a Speed Triple for the great escape!
The Bonnie performs like a Harley except it will corner better of course it is much lighter and much cheaper. Put a set of D and D cans on it you can go deaf at a relatively slow speed just like the HD crowd.
Other than that it is a nice bike but not a patch on the S3. If you are a beginner then it is a better buy as you will stay alive on it until you have gained experience.
The S3 is not for beginners or the faint of heart. That's why I love it!
