What is the inside diameter of the removable baffles for some aftermarket S3 1050 cans? Are they just some straight tubes that go inside the can? And finally, are they effective?

Thanks in advance.

Ours are 10mm ID and yes they are effective - they take about 12 dB off but only 3 bhp less than the full race - most are just straight tubes

Thanks! I did not imagine they are that small ID. I was planning some for my cans and I thought 22mm would be too small. I don“t know if I am going to use them but I think they are good to have around anyway.

The cans are 45mm ID straight perforated tube absorbtion type and pretty loud as such. The bike is winterized already so I have to wait few months to test it properly anyway.

HarriS,

The staintune baffles have an inner diameter of 25mm.

Dont forget with our baffles the gas flows through the 10mm holes but also around the sides of the tube too - it's about changing the flow speed more than blocking off the pipe with a smaller one

I made two pairs of baffles. One is 24mm ID and the other 31mm. They cut the noise quite a bit.

The 24mm ones sound a bit like my drilled stock cans.
The 31mm is a bit louder but not overly so.
Without baffles it is just loud :-D .

I think the best compromise might be the 31mm ones since they do not choke much at all because they are only a bit smaller than the stock link pipes. I have to dyno all of them in spring and measure the decibels.
