Radar Detectors . . . are they Legal where you are?
I have a Radar Detector, it is a handy tool, with VizAlert V2 heads-up display, oddly enough having this makes me more aware of the speed I'm doing, here in NZ if you are 40 Kmh over the limit the boys in blue require you to walk for the next month . . .
They want to experiment with time elapsed speed cam technologies. The cops here constantly roll out the drink drive and speed kills angle but in reality it's more like inattentive drivers and poor road design but alas speed and alcohol are far easier to detect, cops are all for easy they don't want to work to hard . . .
They are legal here , been looking into the valentine .
Are you sure ?. Here in Ontario they have radar to detect your radar detector. They`re 100% illegal (along with having fun, of course). Confiscation & big fine.

Same here. They ignore lines of dozens of cars tailgating each other on a busy highway & nail the bloke doing 20kph over by himself in the middle of nowhere. Easy cash grab.
