Best $46 mod...45T rear sprocket!

I have a 45t rear sprocket ready to go on my bike but i have attempted to fit it before and i found that i need a longer chain (pulls the wheel forward far enough to touch the hugger).

My question is how many more links do i need if i buy another chain?

Is it a case of 1 extra tooth=1 extra link or is it more complicated than that?

I have tried a quick search on here but i can't seem to find any answers.

Do you have to get the speedo corrected as well?

Put a 17 on the front as well, for one it will actually then pull like a litre bike should, and secondly it might give you enough room between the hugger.

stock chain and triumph hugger should have no fitment issue with a 45T..

When i tried to install it the tyre was actually touching the hugger and was very close to the swingarm as well.

Same with my `03. Others have reported the same experience.

When I went to 18/45, I went with 110 links, because I couldn't join the 108. The bonus is I have enough adjustment to throw the 19T countershaft sprocket on there.

Um, if you put a 19 on the front, that kind of makes the 45 rear a waste of time.
You could have stuck with stock 18/42 its nearly the same final drive ratio.

are you sure your chain doesn't rub on the swing arm ?
you're gonna be tack over 6K just cruising around.

not a good idea.
with a 18/46 (three up in the rear) top speed is only ~ 120.
