Had a great day to ride in Indiana today. Temps were perfect, leaves were in full color and the sun was shining all day. I'm a high school principal and my girls' volleyball team was playing in a regional tournament today at Seymour High School. I used that as an opportunity to go for a ride while getting in some good high school sports action at the same time. Here's the route I took... Lots of twisties...

It made for a perfect day on the Triple! I hope winter holds off for a while so I can get a few more of these rides in before she gets put up on the paddock stands for her hibernation.

I got a good one in today as well. Here in CO you can ride all year long, just as long as you enjoy a bit of cold... The only days that are not ride days are snow days... Glad I don't need to put the bike up for the winter!!

crashmasterd... Sorry about your weather... That sucks. Last week was a lot like that here. A lot of rain and temps in the 40's and 50's. That's one thing they say about living in Indiana. If you don't like the weather, stick around for a few days, it will change. Next week calls for more rain and temps back in the low 50's.

I can handle the cold, and I can handle the rain, but I hate to ride when it's cold and rainy...

Here's to good weather for all... :-g

Personally, I find most any rain takes all the fun out of riding. I do do it, and many others do do it too. It's not the riding so much as the gearing up beforehand, the spray down and re-lube afterwards, and the gear care.

Of course, I live in the great Pacific Northwest where rain is a way of life. Real Washingtonians and Oregonians (I live right on the border) don't even own umbrellas. It's a kind of conceit I guess. Most often I don't even prepare for rain, I just deal.

Riding in it is another matter though.

It's always something, huh? Winter is perfect for bike-riding here in TX, but no twisties in less than 130 miles... and those are in the mountains, where there's black ice already :hammer:
I don't enjoy commuting, plus it's a lot of trouble to get the bike out, so I end up riding little in winter. And summers are brutally hot, so my riding season is a few months in spring and fall. See, you don't have it that bad <he he>.
I want the S3 to extend my riding season a bit when it starts getting hot; my BMW becomes a Goldwing when it gets warm. A naked bike would be perfect.
