Can anyone help with bearing identification on my T509 speed triple? I have removed the swing arm along with shock linkage to have a look and grease bearings. Shock... All needle bearings are u/s with rust and corrosion. Unable to drift out normally as so bad so have had to use small grinder to remove. Also bearing inners are so badly rusted as to be useless. In total I have to replace 6 off linkage needle bearings, inners and oil seals. Also need to replace the larger needle bearing in the swingarm pivot. I have lost this one since removal, so cannot size it. The roller bearing at the other side is ok. Triumph want £13 excl vat for each of smaller bearings and £3 a seal (10off). These plus inners and the bigger needle bearing will come to tidy sum!!!! I know I should be able to get replacements from local BSL if I know what I am looking for. Can anyone help.

Maybe you could buy one of each part you need, then take them down to the local bearing shop and size them up, shouldn't be too difficult. Then, once you get what you need from the bearing shop, take the Triumph ones back for a credit/refund.

A message of thanks. Thistle bearings in Eastkilbride, bonnie Scotland, supplied all the listed swingarm arm and link bearings and seals for less than £40. Result !!!
