Does the flyscreen make highway speeds comfortable. I am 5'7". Does it create a lot of turbulence? Are there any other common complaints about the S3 that I should be aware of now that I am seriously considering.

The fly screen doesn't deflect much wind.

I've heard different things. I'm picking mine up soon with the screen attached, but I'm taking it off because I'm not crazy about the way it looks, so I almost hope it's not much of a help.

I've removed mine, as it created a pocket of turbulence around my head!! It did relieve wind pressure on my upper body mind you!!

AND it looked cool - have a look at my album on page 9

I'm 6'2" and for me, the fly screen is little more than a gauge cover. I like the way it looks. Without it, the bike and gauge cluster have an unfinished look to them ... like you tried to customize it by taking one of the parts off. Just my $0.02.

Has anyone tried the Manx fairing from Skyking as opposed to the Triumph flyscreen?

Yes, see my gallery page 5 - it does shift some wind, and looks good too. I have taken mine off at present as it fouls on the clip ons I fitted. Need to redesign to have both together.
