After my bitching about a local dealer not being able to change my tire, I feel I should report a very good dealer experience for the one that did change it.

I went to Atlanta Triumph/Ducati because they actually had the adapter to balance the wheel. When the Service Manager (I think) came back with the wheel, he showed me where the monkey that mounted the tire ripped the paint off the wheel about an inch and a half long at the bead. He had already put touch-up paint on it to where you'd never see it if it wasn't pointed out.

He told me to bring the wheel back when I could live without it for a week and they'd have it powdercoated for me to fix it permanently. And when I asked him what I owed for changing the tire, he said don't worry about it.

Now that's what I truly call customer service (and I work in retail). I highly doubt a Honda shop would have done that. So I tried spending money in there last night, but only managed to give them $22 for sundry items. They are now my Triumph dealer. To hell with the closer one.

Chris,

Nice to hear a "good" customer service story regarding a dealer for a change. Sounds like a reputable dealer, who's genuine concern is their "customer".

I take my service to a dealer that is 90 minutes away because they are the best dealer in the state. The other shop is only 17 miles away, but is in a bad part of town, with the lot surrounded by razor wire. I have Magnesium wheels, and the tech changes tires manually so as not to bend them. 2 tire changes without a scratch. Stick with the dealer that gives a Shiott.

I would stick with the dealer that takes care of you.

I ride 4 hours to GREAT BAY MOTORCYCLES in NH, they are great!!!! I have purchased both of my S3 from them.

Our local dealer in Vermont really sucks wind!

You really have to be careful with some dealers. All they want to do is sell you a new bike and then they forget who you are.

GREAT BAY really takes cares of my needs, and always performs! Top notch!

Cool! It would be nice if in Seattle they would let the Aprillia/Moto Guzzi dealer pick up the Triumph line. The only two dealers within 100 miles of Seattle (NOTE: Neither one is actually IN Seattle) added Truimph within their Jap bike stores. Nothing wrong with Jap bikes but it just seems you don't have the same dealer mentality necesary to fully understand the Euro bike customer.

Glad you found a good dealer. They are a few out there. I don't mind the distance if I deal with someone I can trust. A bad experience will make it worth the distance to find a good dealer.
