Am very interested in a Speed Triple. Was looking at some new ones today. I couldnt help but notice the hoses that hang low on the left side and the braided lines running under the engine . It would seem that these could be damaged by a curb, rock or other object in the road. Has anyone had such a problem. Is this a problem with the Speed Triple? Thanks--Carl

cricket box - athletic-al device used by Batsmen to "protect" their nuts lest anything hits them !
One way to protect the area around the ignition switch from damage by a key fob would be to use some velcro - a small
piece - perhaps a 1cm square - one on the fob and the other below the switch. When the two pieces are mated this will keep the fob from blowing in the wind, therefore preventing that nasty chaffing you see so often - or of course take the fob off - as it were! 70 mpr what that Teeach?

Oh, that cricket box.
I went down on the left side a couple months ago and the only things to contact the pavement were the side-case, the handlebar and the rear footpeg.
I suppose if you were out running it through the woods you might have a problem though.
