Anyone come up with a good idea to loose the shift linkage on the 05-06... Mine is functioning fine (after some work), but it is a weak link IMO... Any ideas? :-D
I agree that the shift linkage on the 05+ Speed Triple is garbage. I've already had mine break on me. Luckily they replaced it under warranty, but I still don't like it.
I've looked into just replacing it with a non-linkage type like that on the previous years. According to my research the factory shift arm off of a 2000 - 2004 should work fine.
I don't know why they went with this idiotic linkage. Something to do with shift throw on the new transmission maybe?
