Do you guys use them?

It's not like we are cruising for hours at high velocities.

I've been wearing earplugs when I ride for over 20 years.

Depends on your hat.

My Spec 1R Suomy presses my ears closed just behind my jaw. I tried wearing earplugs but they were too uncomfortable.

I use them with my Shoei XR1000.

Ear plugs all the way. My lid is the Arai Rx-7 and wind noise, not engine/exhaust, is my biggest foe. I ride mostly highway and with plugs I am more rested and comfortable during and after the ride.

Since I got my S3 (and my friends told me they used them) I started using earplugs. On my previuos bike (900cc Tiger) I never used earplugs, but at that time I seldom drove faster than 120-140km/h...
Now on the other hand (and without any windprotection whatsoever)...

I used earplugs the last 13 years, but when I bought this Schubert helmet, they are not necessary any more! Riding with this helmet is much more silent than with the Shoei and Arai helmets I used before. I don't know how the Germans do it, but it really works! :-D

Yep, plugs 90% of the time... Defiantely feel more fatigued without on longish rides.

The wind noise at legal speeds over a short period is enough to permanently damage your hearing. It's not the exhaust noise that's bad, for the most part. I forgot to add, I had some custom ones made, and they work great, but stuck out a bit and my ears would hurt after a short ride. I cut some of the cheekpad of my Quantum F with a razor, and that solved the problem.
