Compliments on your Speed Triple
Let's hear your favorite moments when somebody gave your beloved Speed Triple a compliment.
For example: You're at a stop light waiting for it to turn green when a Harley rolls up next to you and the other rider smiles and gives you a thumbs up. Or you take your bike to a trackday and many of the other participants come over to your pit area and tell you how much they like your bike.
Last weekend, my fiance (she rides an Aprilia Shiver) and I rode to my parents house for the weekend. My brother and sister-in-law were also there with their 3 kids. After all the warm hugs and greetings, I put my little 3-year-old nephew in the seat of my Speed Triple and asked him, "What do you think? Is it cool?"
Eyes wide with excitement and the biggest grin on his face, he said,
"Real cool."
We all had a good laugh about it.

I think the best compliment I've gotten was when I was riding on Beach Rd in Chester and a 2002 Honda Fireblade 945RR approached from the back. I began to ride harder and so did the Fireblade. He was obviously trying to keep up out of the turns, because he had a very aggressive riding position and I could hear him bounce his rev limiter a couple of times. Once I got to the end and pulled off, we spoke for a bit, and his comment was, "I know better than to challenge a Speed Triple when I see one! That thing has got some pull out of the corners!"

Used to work at a stealership [on weekends] which sold Kawi, Suzi and Yamaha. I rode my speedy to work religiously. Without fail, at least every other customer asked me did I know who rode the black bike parked out front. When they learned it was mine, they asked where they could get one. I told them it was a Triumph, of course, and my boss, the douchebag he was, didn't appreciate my sharing knowledge, but they lit up every time I started the bike up for them. I have the TORS exhaust and the bike really does sound sexy as hell. I eventually left that place, but it was comical the amount of people that preferred my bike over what they sold.

I love it when kids in the back of a car turn their heads and look through the rear windshield when I approach (Mivv GP without baffles). When I overtake they usually start to smile and wave. If so, I wave back and make some extra noise

I was taking my youngest son for a short ride on the freeway one afternoon and a whole carload of guys in a car slowed down and was filming and taking pics of the weird Green Transformer bike next to them. I owned a couple of Buell XB's before the Speed, and the XB12R Buell was radical looking. It had bright factory gold mag wheels, bright red bodywork and even a orange tinted windscreen on the fairing - and it never got even half the positive response from people like Trpldog does. I like pulling up to a gathering of Ducs, MV's and other assorted eye candy - and getting approving nods from the other pilots. Well, what do you expect - I'm helping the environment - its perfectly Green. ha ha!
Just fun stuff.

From a guy on an Aprilia Tuono, "I wish my bike was as agile as yours". Considering I ride like a nana, I thought that was a very good compliment!

1,5yrs. old nephew does "wrooom wroom" when he sees my bike. Best thing is: When I'm wearing my vintage Triumph shirt and point to the Triumph logo on it, he does the sound too! One intelligent little toddler

I was visiting some friends who were having some work done on their house.
When I came to leave one of the workman came over to me and said "your bike's scary". I said "why?", he said "cos it looks like it wants to beat me up"..

The company I work for also owns a small shop that started out as an electric vehicle dealership. It has since expanded into used motorcycles and fuel efficient autos. The city was hosting a street fair and they needed some extra help staffing due to the crowds. I parked my S3 inside towards the back of the shop to get it off of the street. Just happened to be next to a full custom '09 Hayabusa show bike. I'm talking chrome everything, Custom Wheels, 330 Avon rear, custom rear suspension with 5" stretch, and a Full Custom Air Brushed paint job. Over $30K in upgrades.
It brought a smile to my face everytime I overheard someone say to someone else "I like the Triumph better." I smiled a lot that day.
