Just wondering if anybody has it and what you think of it.

Trying to make serious strides in having full and proper riding gear; I have back protectors, leather jacket, sidi boots, shin/knee armor but I still constantly wear jeans, although some are rider oriented (Icon anthem and barrier pants).

Reading various forums and looking at reports folks make about their accidents many stress that they are glad they had their gear on or wishing that they had their gear on, as much as I hear that talk when I look around I really dont see much evidence at all about people getting fully geared while riding, most I see are like myself with helmet, jacket and gloves but mostly jeans and some type of workboot.

How easy it it to live in the 1-piece suits for the real world riding most of us do, not track or touring? Should I be going in the Aerostitch direction? I hear they get billowy at 80+ MPH and keep in mind the SP3 is nekkid.

How comfortable and good is the Triumph suit? It looks in the images that its low key enough not to be to overly visually flashy. I'm sure it's not the most high end thing in the world as there are many suits that are 3-times it's cost and more. Any thoughts?? And are these suits made for guys 6'4", 230 Lbs w/ typical build that goes along with that?

I bought a Triumph jacket here about 5 years ago (a model that you can't get any more) and then two years ago bought the matching zip-together pants.

The jacket is high quality, comfortable, and I wear it all the time even when I'm not riding. I absolutely love it, and the older it gets the more comfortable it gets. My only complaint is the white reflective 3M piping down the sleeves has deteriorated and now looks knackered. It is similar to the Triumph Urban Jacket, except it doesn't say Triumph across the chest and is all black with a grey stripe down the arms.

I bought the pants after trying on just about every pair of zip-together leather and armor riding pants I could find. The Triumph Sport Jeans (not actually jeans, but leather with knee and hip armor, and knee pucks) fit me better than any of the competition. Excellent quality and they're comfortable enough to walk around in all day if necessary.

For people who ride on the street most of the time, 2 piece suits are best. I would not recommend one piece leathers for most people. These are for hard core racers and wannabes. With the two piece suits you receive just as much protection, but they are far more comfortable- particularly when you aren't riding. In addition, when it gets hot at the track you can take off the jacket only, or ride with regular jeans for commuting and such.

Good fully leather or quality Cordura riding gear can really save your asterix. I like leather, with a good 1 piece rain gear stuffed in the tank bag, but the Cordura is a pretty good option. My Cordura jacket is comfortable, but I found it was too hot in warm weather, and not warm enough in cold weather. It was a cheap Joe Rocket jacket I bought when JR was brand new.

I went for the same deal. I've got the Cafe Racer jacket with New Sport Jeans and they go really well together. However, DO NOT think they are waterproof in the rain. All the zippers on the jacket let water in and I ruined a brand new cell phone that was in my front left chest pocket while in a monsoon down in Daytona Beach Bike Week. Also, keep in mind that if you wear your leathers so that your boots go over the bottom of your pants, water will drip right down your leg into your boot making the nice 'waterproof' leather Triumph boots a soggy stinky mess. After riding 500 miles in the rain with wet feet I learned my lesson and only go for waterproof textile pants which go OVER the boot to prevent future discomfort.

Other than that, the pair are a comfortable match. I think after repeatedly riding in the rain with my jacket it has gotten a bit haggard and worn and is a bit stiffer, but it still looks good and fits pretty well.

My latest purchase is a Hein Gericke Timbuktu Air Jacket, the Black/Camo one, and a pair of the Hein Gericke Cargo Overpants.

Now, all I need is that Arai XD (euro TourX) and I'll be set for my all-weather riding gear.
