Hi.
Anyone out there fitted an intercom to their speed triple? I need bike to bike and rider to pillion and autocom has been suggested.

There appears to be enough room Under the seat but I would appreciate any 'top tips' regarding wiring it in.

Regards, Swiss.

I haven't hard mounted mine, but if you run a tank bag, consider building it in there. I found it handy (with multiple bikes) to be able to pop the tank bag off and switch it around. Since much of the time your autocom is going to be plugged into Expensive Stuff (radar detectors, cell phone, gps, whatever) its kind of nice to know you can pull it off the bike and carry it with you.

I got a project box from the local rat shack, mounted it in the bag, installed a bunch of power distribution stuff, and had a detachable SAE power adapter to power the bag.

Check out this threat before you buy. I've been very satisfied with my StarCom1 system and since I installed mine, several members of my RAT Pack have also purchased and installed them and all seem to be very happy...

I cannot say either way about autocomm but I know alot of people that have had problems with other bike to bike communications ubder the seat. It decreases range and creates static.

Go for the tank bag option I think it is eisier and better as far as reception goes.

Just my 02second hand. fwiw

I would agree with DaffyDuc if you are talking about placing the two-way radio under the seat. I put my two-way radio outside the bodywork of the bike, either mounted on the side of the tank bag or mounted on the Ventura Pack tail bags. It's the location of the two-way, not the interface like the autocom or StarCom1 that is important when it comes to range and static. All the interface does is provide a way for the various devices you hook up to get the sound inside your helmet and to work together in the process and also to get your voice out to them as well.
