I may be looking to trade in my '03 Tuono for the new Speed Triple, just wondering what people are paying for the new ones in the states, out the door.

The local dealer around here is firm at the retail price...

Unlikely you'll find a "deal" on a new S3. To much desire. I paid 9999.00 +++... Total 11,250.00 Taxes, license, dealer fees etc.

You might be able to find a "demo" 05 or something for a bit less, but expect to pay at least 8500 to 9000... There is a guy selling his somewhere here on the board. Maybe you could hook up a deal with him.

No doubt you'll love the bike. Hands down the most all around fun bike out there.
:-D

Might be a bit of a hike from St. Paul but then again $1500 is a nice wad-o-cash.

I had the same bad deal as Tommy.

I put a deposit, and then after the bike arrived, the price had gone up on standard expenses.

It was worth the drive for me. I paid $9052 before tax in August. Price included flyscreen, seat cowl, and hugger.

$8,883 OTD (before taxes, of course) for an '06, BUT you have to be present to sign papers, and absolutely no shipping.
Best deal in my neck of the woods is $9,495 +TTL, which by the time you pay airline tickets and ship/drive the bike home makes it a wash. I'd never ride a brand-new bike home for over 1K miles, and even less a naked one in winter.

Too bad Chattanooga is not close to home; would love to take advantage of those savings.

I was just over $11,000 OTD for mine, they threw in some bar end mirrors, and the 6oo mi service.

Sound like those to good to be true deals. Must be alot of additional charges that go with it.
