LIGHTS ON - OFF O5 S3

Has anyone fitted a left hand handle bar switch to their 05 (or 06 identical bike) S3 from and older bike to get the lights to turn off whilst the ignition is on.
My baby is the 1st bike i've ever had that has full timer lights on; i'd like to option to turn them off; especially when I'm on my driveway pointing staight across the street in to my mates house !!!!! He's a bit p...sed at the beam going straight into his living room.
Anyway I know its safer riding with lights on but I would just like the option......

The thought did cross my mind once I got the bike, but when I tried to figure it out I was told by the local Triumph guys that from 05 onwards the S3 wiring harness does not have the switch nor the necessary wiring, so I did not bother.

On older S3s it was enough just to add the switch, but on '05-> you will have to add the wiring too.
